As you read this you may be attending the 2022 Vancouver MPC conference, as am I.

Over the past month this is my third conference, one more to go at month end in Austin TX… or virtually?

The conference question is increasingly; Should I travel and attend in person?

I’ll share my thoughts over the next few weeks on this Q, having experienced two in-person and two virtual events firsthand in this new era of carry-on only travel, awkward fist bumps, and kooky hotel rates.

For today I share with you the ‘coles notes’ of the presentation I’m delivering at 11am today and again tomorrow here at the MPC conference.

The theme, more than the ‘topic’, is Rejection & Resilience

How do we avoid getting knocked down?

How do we avoid knocking others down?

How do we get back up and keep going?

Each of the following questions, for me, creates another 10, or more, spin-off questions taking me deeper into an understanding of what the real problem is. Because for the most part in life, ‘the problem isn’t the problem‘. (words to remember)

This content was shaped by a conference I recently attended where I picked up the following line;

‘Smart people have better answers, geniuses ask better questions’ – Keith Cunningham

So, in an effort to take us from smart to genius, here’s ten topical questions to dig deeper from.

Create your own list of at least another 5-10 questions per point below – leading you to an ‘ah-ha’ moment.

  1. Who knows what I do, knows me, and yet… isn’t referring me?
  2. Why don’t people trust me?
  3. Why am I afraid of, resentful, and/or skeptical of success?
  4. How am I holding myself back?
  5. Is Time MGMT my #1 Problem?
  6. Would I hire me?
  7. Who do I need to fire?
  8. Why do people deal with me?
  9. What am I ‘*the best’ at?
  10. What’s ONE thing I can take action on right now?

This last question, #10, I share the entire slide from.

How Can I Be Better At X?

Now some of you know what’s coming at the end of the presentation – an action item.

Some of you will take action on this before you even walk in the room, you are next level!

Thank you for being you!
